Travel Grants and Event Grants

Is your organization interested in bringing/creating a unique experience on campus for other UW Madison students to enjoy? ASM Event Grants are designed to allow RSO's to help fund your event/conference on campus. The content must be educational/informational and event/conference must be free and open to all students on campus. Grants must be submitted SIX weeks before the event.

Is there a conference or training session that would tremendously benefit your organization? The ASM Travel Grant fund allows RSOs to travel to places and events that serve to further the goals of the groups. Attending the trip should benefit the campus beyond the immediate traveler(s) by bringing back some variety of information or service. Grants must be submitted SIX weeks before the travel.

.** ASM CANNOT REIMBURSE FOR ANY TRAVEL COSTS BOUGHT VIA ORBITZ TRAVEL ** ASM CANNOT FUND TRIPS THAT HAVE OCCURED PRIOR TO YOUR GRANT APPROVAL.**


All the Travel Grant funds for the Spring 2012 semester have been used. We will not be taking applications for Travel Grants until the Fall 2012 semester.

1) APPLICATION PROCESS

  • View Policies & Procedures here
  • Attend a Finance Committee Meeting - you will be notified of the date by email - to present your grant application

2) AFTER APPROVAL

  • For event grants over $6250 and travel grants over $5000, the grant must get final approval at the next Student Council meeting (every other Wednesday at 6:30 pm TITU).
