this section:
All
printing must be done at StudentPrint, B114 Memorial Union (262-6216). Please contact StudentPrint for cost estimates. If StudentPrint is unable to do
your printing please contact the Financial Specialist for other options prior
to placing any orders. If StudentPrint is unable to do the job it must be done
by another pre-approved University print shop. Under no circumstances can
off-campus printers such as Kinkos or Bob's Copy Shop be used for printing
services.
The ASM
name, logo, and disclaimer must be included on all materials and publicity.
Failure to use the logo and disclaimer can result in the loss of the grant. If
the logo does not fit in a newspaper ad, the language on the disclaimer may be
used independently of the graphic. Copies of the logo and disclaimer are
available in room 512 Memorial Union, or here

You must break down your printing expenses into a per item cost. If you have 500 postcards at 54.00; this would equal 54.00/500 = .11 You need to complete a page for each printed item. Enter a brief description of the item.
Supplies
Supplies
are low-cost consumable items needed to run an organization such as office
supplies for mailings, files, paper, notepads, folders, pens, pencils,
nametags, markers, banners, decorations, materials for making posters, etc.

Please
list supplies in description if they are to be purchased from the same vendor.
Complete one page per vendor. The primary vendors for supplies are the
University warehouse, "Material Distribution Services (MDS)" and the
University Bookstore. Funded organizations receive a 10% discount off the shelf
price at the University Bookstore.
Postage
Standard mail is .39 per piece, and must be posted by ASM using our postage meter. For information on bulk mailing rates, please visit the UW Extension's bulk mailing web site at http://bulk.uwex.edu. Bulk mailings should be prepared and delivered to the FS at least one month prior to the event. ASM is not equipped to mail out packages.
Web Design
Costs of
designing and upgrading student organization webpages.
Information needed for completing
this section:
Membership Dues
Costs
of your organization becoming member of or affiliating with another
organization. Please note whether membership is based per person or per
organization. Name of organization requiring payment is needed. ASM will pay
for dues from a local chapter to national chapter or organization. Local dues for
club members cannot be paid.
Subscriptions
Costs of purchasing and receiving magazine, journal or periodical subscriptions.
Advertising (Print Media)
Costs for
running ads in student and local newspapers to publicize meetings and recruit
membership.

this section:
Cost and
size per ad are needed. It is also necessary to detail the dates that the ads
will run. An example for completing the size/description box is: Running 3 ads
on 10/2/2007, 3/5/2008, and 5/8/2008 at 1/8th of a page each.
The Badger
Herald (257-4712) and the Daily Cardinal (262-5854) offer discounted rates for
ASM-funded student organizations. Please ensure that your estimates are accurate.
Please contact The Daily Cardinal or The Badger Herald directly for accurate
estimates.
Space/Equipment Rental
Costs for
renting TV/VCRs, audio equipment, pa systems, data, overhead or slide
projectors, screens, as well as rooms and facilities that hold events.
Organizations requesting funding for office space must justify why the Student
Organization Space at Union South is insufficient to meet the group's needs.
Information needed for completing
this section:
List the
name or item and the vendor. For example: Union Office space would be the
Item/Location. The vendor would be Wisconsin Union. The quantity would be 3
(mos) x $70. The cost would be $210.00.
ASM has
the following equipment available free of charge (for use in Memorial Union
rooms only) on a first come - first serve basis:

- Data projector, VCR and
portable screen
- Video Camera

Space Rental
Most meeting space available on campus is
free of charge to student organizations through Wisconsin Union Central
Reservations. This funding CANNOT be used to pay regular Office Space rent.
This category is specifically focused on rental of spaces for "team" practices,
storage, or event space. If requesting
funds for space rental you MUST give a justification why your RSO cannot use
University space.
