USSA's Grassroots Legislative Conference & National Student Lobby Day
The National Grassroots Legislative Conference (LegCon) is an annual conference that brings together students from across the country to discuss and act on current legislative issues impacting access to higher education. LegCon features dynamic speakers, forums, workshops, and regional and constituency group meetings. The conference culminates with the National Student Lobby Day on Capitol Hill, where we take our concerns directly to our Representatives and Senators. Be the voice of your campus at this year's LegCon and National Student Lobby Day!

State of the Student Union
One week after the President delivered the "State of the Union" address, the United States Student Association (USSA), in partnership with students across the country, released their version of the State of the Union.
See the video clip on you tube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vBCF2kQ6iz4
The "State of the Student Union" is clear. Many high school students of color and students from low income or first generation backgrounds do not have real access to higher education. Those that do make it in to college, graduate in thousands of dollars of unmanageable debt.
