I strongly encourage any organization who is applying to a grant to email me with any questions or concerns you may have about any part of the grant process. Thank you, Matt Beemsterboer - asmfinancechair@gmail.com Tim Fung (May 2008-May 2009) My fellow students, I’m Tim Fung, and I’ve been on the Finance Committee since my senior year. I love the work that we do on the committee, and the long meetings always seem to fly by. I am majoring in marketing, management, and political science. I love sports, particularly baseball. I am a super-duper senior. Apparently, I get to give a speech at commencement Spring 2009, and I’m really excited about that. My goal for the Finance Committee is to leave it in a better shape than when I started. I want to increase the transparency of meetings by changing the structure to allow students to see how the committee members make funding cuts and approvals. I want to break down the walls of separation by creating an atmosphere that allows students to have their voices heard regarding their funding (this includes relaxing the strict parliamentary procedures). Cordially, Tim Fung Brittany Wiegand (May 2007-May 2008) Brittany is a senior majoring in political science and philosophy with a certificate in leadership. Brittany would like to see more involvement from students in regards to the distribution of their segregated fees, and hopes that students' rights to distribute fees are protected as they were intended under state statute 36.09(5). She is also interested in social justice, and would like the university commit more resources toward improving our campus climate. She is also a member of the Student Services Finance Committee (SSFC) and the Student Council.
