Course Evaluations

Click Here for the New Course Evaluations Homepage!

ASM collects and posts course evaluations for most UW courses to help students select classes during registration. ASM has been posting the evaluation since the late 1990s, using the open record laws to gain access to the information. At the end of every semester, students get a chance to voice their opinions about their classes and professors.

Evaluations are based on how interesting the material of the course is, as well as the manner in which the material is presented. Courses are rated on a one to five scale, with five being the highest (unless otherwise noted). This system is beneficial for students, who can see their peers' opinions of courses, as well as for professors, who get direct student feedback on ways to improve their classes.

Disclaimer: Neither the administration nor the individual departments included are responsible for the accuracy of the conversion of the data into the ASM.
