Travel, Event and Operations Grants

The ASM Finance Committee is responsible for ASM's internal fiscal budget, as well as for providing Operations Grants, Travel Grants, and Event Grants to Registered Student Organizations.

This year the Finance Committee will work to ensure there are funds avaliable for interested student organizations until the end of the year.  The Finance Committee will strive to make funding decisions in a fair and equal manner, by taking the organization's request and the amount of money the committee has left to allocate.

Meet Your Chair - Brittany Wiegand

Brittany is a senior majoring in political science and philosophy with a certificate in leadership.  Brittany would like to see more involvement from students in regards to the distribution of their segregated fees, and hopes that students' rights to distribute fees are protected as they were intended under state statute 36.09(5). She is also interested in social justice, and would like the university commit more resources toward improving our campus climate.  She is also a member of the Student Services Finance Committee (SSFC) and the Student Council.

Other Funding Options

Student Services Finance Committee (SSFC)
The SSFC is the branch of ASM that provides larger grants to organizations that have been declared eligible for these student service funds. SSFC is charged to make annual  recommendations to ASM Student Council on the allocation of over $20 million in student segregated fees.

See the Student Organization Office (SOO) website for a list of 15 other funding sources.

ASM's fall 2006 campaigns will be focused on voter registration for the state election and campus safety. Past campaigns have included workers' rights and ROTC appreciation.
