Chris got involved in ASM when he heard about the intern program the fall of his freshman year. He's been involved ever since.
I guess I want to know I've affected someone's life in a good way. In ASM my main accomplishments were the Book Swaps and getting people interested in Academic Affairs. I hope to get more people involved in deciding the changes they want to see on campus and taking the steps to make those changes happen.
Academic Affairs identifies problems that students see on campus which are affecting their academics. Then we work on ways to improve those problems through forms of action such as the textbook swap, 24-hour library, and quality and accessible education. Generally we take on three or four important projects in a semester. Most of them are ongoing and carry over.
Intern class and intern retreats are pretty much the best because of the friendships and relationships that are formed. Also, wrapping up successful projects with my committee.
Running away to join the circus! I actually want to join Young Americans which is a group who tours and performs with elementary to high-school-aged students around the world. So I'll probably do that for a few years, and then what? Maybe live in Europe.
